Friends + Thanksgiving = Friendsgiving

Who doesn’t love a made-up holiday that got its inspiration from a 90s sitcom (Friends) and is now one of the happiest excuses to pig-out a second time during Thanksgiving week? You know what we’re talking about—Friendsgiving—the holiday with no stress, come-as-you-are dress code, your besties for guests and potluck food options. Turkey optional. Drinks mandatory.

There are oodles of Instaworthy ways to celebrate this fun day, where you’re free to create it all Camille Styles stylish or a potluck in pajamas. There are enough ideas out there on blogs, Pinterest, and Instagram to make your head swim: the pie contests, the food, the signature drinks, damn, I want to be friends with some of these overachievers.

At a Top Trip Friendsgiving, you can hang out, listen to music, watch the game, or games (some homes have multiple TVs), cook in our full kitchens, and eat around the dining room table. If you’d rather not be in the middle of Austin, rent an entire home in University Hills just north of the Mueller Development. For a fancy pants Friendsgiving, blow it out and reserve the architectural gem Bloomhouse, or the Graeber House with its own indoor heated pool or the restored Provident on 5th Street with its open loft layout and historic charm.
